Parent Information
St. Monica’s success is largely due to the partnerships that we foster between parents and school.
We believe that parents are key to establishing the relationships necessary to ensure that each child experiences success and enjoys being with us here.
For parents and friends of St. Monica’s there are many opportunities to participate in school life. We have a very active and engaging Parents and Friends Committee, and parents are also represented on the School Board, which is responsible for the overarching policy development for our school. Our parents are invited to volunteer for our class reading programs, helping to supervise on class excursions, sports clinics and carnivals. When new families commence at St. Monica’s School, we provide support through a parent ‘buddy’ and invite the two families to share contact details. New families find it helpful to have an existing parent to chat to or ask questions about school procedures, timetables etc. Many great friendships have developed from our buddy system.
